Outside of some leaks from a closed alpha, possible customers don't have much concrete information to base their decisions on yet.ĭICE recently released a small video showcasing the specialists in Battlefield 2042featuring new snippets of gameplay, but the fan demand for going hands-on with the game is still growing. The developer hasn't showcased a lot of gameplay since its E3 2021 reveal, so there's a lot of anticipation surrounding this beta. DICE is expected to discuss what the beta will entail and when before October. The Battlefield 2042 beta was originally slated for September, but the delay of the full game also caused the developer to shift plans for the playtest. However, neither DICE or EA have shared any official beta details since the delay. That means it costs at least $100 to play the game a week early, which could be worth it for players who want a competitive edge over other players upon full launch on November 19. There's also another chance to play Battlefield 2042 early, as a Battlefield 2042 beta is rumored for October. Thankfully, DICE has clarified that those who have pre-ordered one of the special editions of the game will still get access to it prior to the worldwide release on a new date. Later, the developer only disclosed the game is now releasing on November 19 without providing a new early access release date. Prior to Battlefield 2042 being delayed to November, DICE promised special edition owners that they would get the game on October 15, seven days prior to the original October 22 release date.
